At LA Holy Angels, our mission is to provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities a path to self-fulfillment through education, empowerment, spirituality, independence, and work. Holy Angels is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides love, support, and empowerment through residential services, job training, and meaningful work for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your support changes how the world views individuals with disabilities. Currently, Holy Angels offers resident care, adult day program services, community school, and Howdy's Ice Cream (located in Shreveport and Bossier City).
Creating Pathways to Restoration and Hope
The Hub is a ministry in downtown Shreveport, LA. The Hub is on a mission to give everyone in our city access to a restored life. Restoration comes in the form of rescue from dangerous environments and addictions, recovery through local resources, and relationship with God. A relationship with God and access to safe, healthy relationships is the fuel of restoration. The Hub hosts programs aimed towards restoration from homeless and poverty (The LoveWell) and women experiencing sexual exploitation and sex trafficking (Purchased).
Brewing Second Chances Through Meaningful Work
Rise Up & Roast is a social enterprise of The Hub Ministries in Shreveport, LA, in partnership with Rhino Coffee. We invest 100% of every purchase into fueling the future of survivors of trafficking & people experiencing poverty through dignified employment. Rise Up & Roast is an employment readiness and job training program designed for participants in The Hub’s programs. The aim of Rise Up & Roast is to create a runway to self-sufficiency for our employees, creating longevity of recovery and giving them the tools to maintain self-sufficiency. While employed with Rise Up & Roast individuals manage wholesale accounts, fulfill, package and ship delicious coffee orders to YOU…and earn a living wage while doing it.
